Changer Headache!!
Changer Headache!!
Hi,
I'm a newbie and am seeking help.
Several days ago my factory installed CD changer decided it was time to die. My dead cd changer is clinging to life inside my '97 F150 Lariat. I have tried cleaning it (as best I could), but thought removing it would provide a better environment to clean it.
Oh what a can of worms I have opened....
How in the #$#% do you get the *#$*@*$ out of there?
The only thing I have got out so far is the rear seat....the wife thinks I've lost it and the dog is very confused.
The last time I tried to work on cars or trucks they had things called points and condensors...so I'm a little lost.
At this point (from reading many threads re: F150's and CD Changers) I figure it's best to just replace it with an aftermarket unit. But I would like the replacement to live where the original one did, if at all possible.
Can anyone share their words of wisdom??
Thanks much, in advance.
