Six Disc CD Changer Problems
Last week I purchased a new F150 XLT Supercab. The truck came equipped with a six disc CD changer mounted under the rear seat. Yesterday, I put in two CD's, they played fine, but when I tried to eject the CD cartridge, it wouldn't come out. I could hear it cycling, but that's about it.
Obviously, the vehicle is under warranty and I already have an appointment to take it back to the dealer on Monday, but is there any way I can remove the cartridge myself?
Thanks,
Paul

I'm not sure what to tell you on this one. I had a Kenwood changer a long time ago in a former vehicle and the same thing happend. I ended up having to take the changer into a car audio shop and they disassembled the changer and retreived my cd cassette.
Good luck. I'd definately let the dealership deal with it but, one thing you'll have to remember is that they pretty much send any changer/stereo/speaker component off to a sepearte repair facility. I don't think I've ever heard of a dealership trying to service one on-site.
If I were you, I'd push for a BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT and not a repaired version of the one you have. Just my $0.02 though.
