Question Help! Another Xm Install Question

Okay, Pioneer DEH-P7400 installed. IP Bus cable running from head unit to tuner installed. Both plugged in correctly (seemingly).

Everything is working correctly except the XM. I have NO XM at all.

The only thing I did to my XM when I uninstalled the tuner was simply remove it from it's mounted location (which involved removing the ground wire). Unplugged the modulator and plugged in the IP BUS cable. From there, plugged the Bus cable into the HU.

Could it be that the tuner is not grounding correctly and thus, no worky? Any other thoughts?

EVERYTHING ELSE is working as it is supposed to but, when I try to 'source' over to the XM source, I don't even have it as an option which, according to the manual, it isn't being detected..

HELLLLLLLLLLLLP!

Problem solved. Thanks for checking though!!

Just don't be a bonehead like me and try to install a deck tied into your XM at 1am in the morning. I had the damn IP BUS cable backwards (*blue and black ends reversed*).

FYI -- IT DOES make a difference! LOL!!

I AM THE HAPPY OWNER OF A DEH-P7400 WITH XM! I'll post pics tomorrow!

Justy,

I'd be HAPPY to help you out. Please email me at:

kingranch@hotmail.com

and use XM as the topic (so that I don't auto-delete it) and I'll take it from there!

Yeah, I got your email. I'm going to start a new thread to see if anyone else is interested in signing up... that way I can give those referrals as well and maybe get a month or two free. *shrugs* It's worth a try.

Thanks.
