I have one of those factory overheating cd radio units.( single cd am/fm). How long is the wait on getting it replaced. I think its bean 7 weeks already since the dealer said they'd replace it. 2001 xlt supercrew

 

It took mine 3 days to get the replacement.

 

I just replaced mine with a aftermarket one.

 

Seven weeks is ridiculous! I would definately give them a ringy dingy in the morning! Let us know how you make out.

 

I got mine under warranty the same day. You're dealer is jerking you around.

 

Icalled the service manager and asked what the problem was with the 7 week wait. He said I shouldn't have to wait that long for anything. I told him I called my service writer at 3 weeks and was told they would be in contact when it is in. I haven't been too concerned about a quick replacement because I'm rarely in it long enough for it to overheat(about 1 hour). He took me work # as parts were closed and called the next morning, expect it in 2 days. .... ......
