Reposition Jack

I need to change the place for my jack in the 2002 it screws

down under the rear passenger side seat (60 of the 60/40). Im

wondering if under the passenger seat there is a way to secure it

(eg Bolt it down and be able to access it with out alot fo trouble.

Im pretty sure that the older f150's are secured under the

passenger seat. Will the old jacks secure in the new vehicles im

pretty sure they still have the same holes since the truck hasn't

changed. any reply to my nonsense would be much help thanks

Unhappy I'm in the same boat

I am in the same boat as you. I have a JL box coming in on Wed and have to relocate the jack to put the box under the rear seat. I will let you know if I find anything out.

Well in a reg cab it would be under the passenger seat so you would figure they would still have the holesto put it under the front pasenger seat on a SCrew or Supercab truck.

Im where you are i am currently keeping my jack in the garage LOL. Good thing for AAA. I heard of using the waterproof bag and sticking it with the spare tire but I want to see what else people think. Maybe a call to ford would be helpful? Anyway i am following this thread to see what happens.

BTDT. I gutted my L and completely covered the interior with Dynamat Extreme - 50lb. It took almost a whole saturday. The cab vents have a thin layer of polyfill over them as well. The cab is MUCH quieter now. Best money spent in the whole install. No vibrations/buzzes/rattles, and I don't have to turn up the stereo as loud on the freeway.

The Jack - oh yes. I mounted a JL 250/1 under the driver seat, and a 350/4 under the passenger seat. This required relocating the jack. I went to Galyans (outdoor outfitters) and bought a $10 Lowe Alpine nylon backpack side bag and a Velcro double-sided strap. I pulled all the components out of the plastic basket, wrapped them in a spare washcloth, and stuffed them in the bag. I poked a hole in the strap, threaded it over a bolt fed into the floor pan hole, and lashed it into place at the bottom front of the passenger seat. It is solid and out of sight. Three months and NO movement or rattling. I keep forgetting it's there.

Can you please take some pics of this for us to give us a little

better idea. Because i am either going to put the 2nd amp on the

hump under the center (since i have the 60/40 fronts) or under

the passenger side depending on where i find to put the gd jack.

thanks
