FYI...

There's some truth in the warning label... "Do not turn upside down" I don't think UPS/Fedex cares about up/down...

The people that work there, might.

But the machines that handle the packages can't read, so it does not do much good to write that on the box.

Well I was thinking of buying a 6 disc from Ebay soon but I dont know anymore.. With all of these problems.. I am scared. Now what do you think in the shipping process does this to the cd players. Can it be fixed if the shipper packages it a different way.. I still really want to get a 6 disc changer/mp3

Also is this just for older F-150s or new ones too. I have an 04 new style

I think the box being dropped off the conveyor belts in the distribution centers, jars the insides of the changer.

The changer then has to "re-learn" the proper functions.

If you could get it shipped USPS Registered Mail, it would be hand carried, and not placed on any machines or belts.

I'm surprised there aren't any shipping screws for holding the mechanism like there are on all other aftermarket changers (even the 6-disc Ford factory console changers). Man this is an old thread.

This is making me mad. Lately I have been reading this about the cd players no acting correctly and was like mine has worked fine. Well guess what tonight mine is doing the same thing. I took of the dash piece and unplugged all the harnesses and its not working. Im gonna take it in and hopefully ford gives me a new one.
