Wires needed?

Im ordering an amp, some subs, and some mids and tweets and I wanted to ask what wires do I need? I know I need speaker wires, but what else?

Depending on teh size of amps you are using...

1000 watts total output, get a 4 gauge wire kit, 500 watts you can get away with 8 gauge power kit, under 350 and you can do 10 gauge.

I would encourage using a quality kit, vs the cheap junk they sell at walmart/kmart/radio shack. WHY? better wire, better insulation (means it will flex and turn easily in your car, instead of bending it like a coat hanger.

U will also need 20 ft RCA's (or 5 meters) do not try and cheap out and get 12 footers...they will not reach, and if they do it will be VERY tight..

Just did this myself, This worked nicly for me...

12' for 4 ga power wire (red),
5' of 4 ga power wire (blk)
50' of 16 ga spkr wire (doors )
8' of 12 ga spkr wire sub
distrbution fuse box
10' of 8ga power wire (red) 5' of 8ga power wire (blk)
a bunch of butt connectors and spade connectors and termain strip connectors and ring connector.

13' 4 channel twisted pair RCA
13' 2 channel Twisted pair RCA

my amps located under driver seat and driver side passanger seat...

I actually had wire left over... (a couple feet here and there) Rca's had a couple feet to spare also...

Power ran down passenger side then under the carpet to the distrubition
box in center counse.

Audio routed down drivers side...

Hope that helps...
