Today while driving, I turned the volume down on my stereo (factory single in dash cd HU). When I turned the volume back up nothing happened. The CD player works and the AM stations come across but nothing on the FM side. I pulled the unit from the dash to make sure the antenna was plugged in and checked for any loose wires. No loose wires and the antenna was plugged in all the way. Still no FM radio. I have a kenwood amp and a custom sub box. The truck is still under warranty but I am worried that Ford will void the warranty since I have added to the system. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before and if so, what was the problem? Also, what do you thing Ford will do about the problem with the mods I've added to the system?

 

I took it into Ford today and they replaced it with a new one. The tech said that my FM tuner went out. He said it was a rare thing to happen. Thank God for warranties. 10 minutes and 0 dollars at the dealership and it was fixed.
