Question about a new Deck.....

Hi,
I have a lightning and I was wondering if I buy a new JVC KD-SH77 deck do I have to buy a new 6-disk CD Changer, or can I use the stock black one? Or do I just use the JVC Deck as the CD changer and take out the stock one?

I have never run into anyone who has said that I could use the stock changer in mine. I'm sure there is a way to do it, but it is beyond me.

It may not work, but try the following sites. Send them an e-mail and ask them if they make an adapter. The first site is JVC of course and the second sight makes all kinds of adapters for just about anything.

I'm in the middle of putting an amp and new rear speakers in my L and I just took out the CD changer and it has a sticker on it that says it's manufactured by Clarion.

Yes, manufactured by Clarion and modified by Visteon to communicate with Visteon (Ford) head units. They will not even work with Clarion heads.

When I started gathering my components for my upgrade I talked to 5 stereo shops, e-mailed three different web site and talked to three dealers. All of them said the same thing....Nope and nobody we know of makes an adapter. The unit is made to work with Visteon and that makes it incompatible with everything else.
