Hey guys. I just bought a 2001 Supercrew that has the following issue: It goes through a series of about 5 sets of about 5 beeps from somewhere around the fuse box under the steering wheel whenever you start the truck up and then it stops. The previous owners said it started around the time the truck was broken into and he's just been living with it since then. Does anyone know what it might be and how I can get it to stop?

P.S. I've been on a small hiatus from the forum recently as I sold my old Reg Cab for the growing family a couple months ago, and just got into this S'Crew a couple days ago. (So, so glad to be back) Check out my new truck in my garage if you like. I'd love to hear any idea for quick mods to get her started!

 

Update: I noticed this morning the chime I'm hearing when I start it up is the same chime as the door open chime. Just whenever I start the truck up I hear it about 5 times then pause and then 5 more times for about 5 sets. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Sounds like the thingyabob that says your door is closed is not seeing door being closed. wish I knew what the part is,,, might look at the sticky for the light that stays on after door is closed or door is ajar light wont go out.
