Having problem with Premium CD Player

Hi. I bought a used premium CD player from someone who removed it from his 99 expedition. I installed it in my truck, and only the front left speaker played. The rear speaker played mostly static, and the right side didn't play at all. I know there aren't any problems with the truck itself (wiring wise) since the ford cassette deck works flawlessly. Is there anything I can do? My ford dealer seemed mostly uninterested in assisting me in any way.

Try checking your connections again. Also, one way you can troubleshoot is to remove the head unit. Now turn it on and play something. Try switching speaker wires between right and left. Does the same speaker still play/not play? That would mean the wires to the speakers or the connection at the speaker are bad. If another speaker plays then most likely it is the head unit. I hope this helps!

perhaps there is a reason the person got rid of this unit?
