Installing a second amp?

I installed a stereo in my truck a few months ago.

As is I have all 4 door speakers running of my alpine cda-105. And a 12" mtx roadthunder running bridged off a pioneer gm 5400t.

I've never installed a second amp just for mid's before, but I can tell my door speakers aren't getting enough power.

I've installed lots of decks/amps/subs. But am not really into the technical side of things. Apparently the amp draws 380watts Max bridged.

I'm wanting to add a pioneer gm 6400f. Am I going to need a High output alternator/batt.?

Wouldn't be a prob, but I just dropped $350 on a motorcraft alternator a couple months ago. And the current battery is 1 year old.

i have 3 amps in my truck...i added a small kinetics battery in parallel with main battery but still have stock alternator...when i had the subs wired @ 1ohm my lights would dim alot on heavy bass...after i rewired subs for 4 ohms its much better....But...im sure a high-output alt. would not be a bad addition...Maybe look for a wrecked police car in junk yard...they should have higher output alts. on them...

Ok, well I went and had a look at some local amps available. I may go with a kicker 200.4

It only puts out 25 watts rms, but as is with my deck at 18 watts rms I'm looking for a little more power.

I guess I'll get it wired up and see how my charging system handles it. Not a really demanding set up so I think it may be ok.

Thanks for the input.

Well, took the plunge with an alpine MRP-F300. Took about 6 hours to run 16 ga. to all my doors. Then clean up all the wiring. Here's a few crappy pics, I'm happy with the end result.
