I mounted mine in the ash tray area
power goes directly to battery via a bolt hole (used to mount the jack) under the rear seat.

Try mounting it under the steering colum. Also, there should be a plug for the firewall. Go to the front of your truck and open the hood. Then On the right hand side (drivers side), there should be a tinfoil-like material on the firewall. Peel it back and you should see the black plug. The wires come through around the steering colum area. I have a question as to where to mount the antenna. I want to mount it on my bed. How would I go about doing so?
