PAC OEM LOC in 2010 F150?

http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...CategoryID=28]

Has anybody tried this in a 2009 or 2010 F150?
I've used the OEM ones before and they're nice because you keep your stock wires and don't cut anything.

Their site says it works with a 2010 but wondered if anybody has tested that? Not sure if the newer trucks have the same connectors behind the HU....?

Guess I'll be the one to try it out. Just ordered one yesterday. Couple of sites confirmed it will work in the 2010.

Well, the PAC OEM plugged right into the ford harness. I haven't finished my install yet so the converter hasn't been tested.

Yup, got a chance to fire up the front speakers last night after connecting everything and it works!
Haven't really had the time to do full testing and analysis but I couldn't detect any whine or noise in the 10 minutes of listening last night. That was my main concern with the converter up there and running RCA's back.

It was very easy to get the stock head unit out, plug the PAC unit in and put everything back together. There was plenty of space to foam tape the converter down underneath the stereo. It's also nice that I didn't have to cut any of the factory wiring. I like to keep the stock wiring in tact if possible in case I sell the truck down the road and want to put it back together.

I ordered the PAC-OEM FRD24 from SonicElectronix for $43. Money well spent.

Sweet thanks. Are you hooking up any subs or just using it for the front door speakers and an amp? Also what speakers and amp did you use?

Front speakers and sub so I'm using all four channels.
The front speakers are Rainbow Profi Kicks and the amps are both iPaul series Rainbow amps. I haven't picked out my subwoofer yet.
It also sounds like I might need a summing device like the RF360 to fix the factory head unit signal... The fronts are super boomy at base guitar frequencies and I have to turn the bass on the stock HU all the way negative.
The stock speakers did the same thing so I'm sure that's where the problem lies.
