Started my build this weekend.

Finally got around to finishing my system, aka adding a sub and amp.

HU: Kenwood DNX-5120 (already in)

Speakers: Infinity Ref 5x7

Amp: Memphis Belle 600M

Sub: Kicker L7 10"

Didn't take too many pics since I haven't had a real camera around. Will add some better pics when I am done.

Started off by pulling everything out.

Pic of sound dampener installed on the floor, need to finish the back wall and the driver's side door.

I also decided to add a center console as well. So this is what the truck looks like right now.

I already wired and tested the system. I'm pretty happy with it so far. Hopefully I will be able to get it done Monday or Tuesday night.

Stuck in traffic? Do a little racing on the PS2.

Looks good. Putting in sound dampener/carpet is my next thing. How long did it take you to lay down the SD? What brand did you use?

I finally got everything done tonight. I will have some pics tomorrow after work. It sounds great, really happy with it. The center console looks 100x better than that jumpseat.

The PS2 is in the center console, wireless controller. I got the sound dampener from here. http://www.raamaudio.com/ I just went with the regular BXT.

I'm not really sure how long it took just for that. I was going back and forth between wiring, laying the SD and mounting stuff. It probably would have been a lot quicker if I had a roller though. Why do you want carpet? You're just going to put your feet on it, lol.

lol I'd just rather have carpet. Although the vinyl is really easy to clean.

Pics, as promised! Got the fine tuning done today and it sounds great. I was really going for a tight, clean amount of bass. I listen to so many different kinds of music that anymore bass would probably have been too much. This was my first full system install, so it was definitely a learning experience.

Where did you get the lining for the bottom of the console? Did you make it?

Actually, it was in the console when I got it. It was a nice surprise because it wasn't in any pictures on the auction.

Lucky. Mine didn't come with one.

How many square feet of sound deadener did you end up using?

Well, I didn't do the entire back wall or the whole front doors. So I had some left over. I think that the roll was about 67 square feet, I'd say maybe 50 to 55 of that. The whole roll would have been just about perfect if I didn't get lazy at the end...
