HD Radio Module Install

Does anyone have any suggestions on finding a constant power source for a HD Module that plugs into my face unit? I installed my JVC 810 Dvd player the other day and just ordered the HD radio box.

I was thinking of connecting it to the 12v power plug in my 2005 truck. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where I should connect it to get a constant power source?

Thanks

you can use the same 12v source your radio uses to power the HD box. i have a pioneer radio and i have the ipod adaptar, xm radio and 12 disc changer running off the power to the radio

The instructions to the HD radio module say to connect it to a "constant" power source, (bypassing the fuse box shut-off) otherwise the box will lose its programmed memory.

Doesn't the radio power shut-off in the fuse box when you shut your vehicle off and open the door?

there are two power sources to the radio. one a constant hot 12v and an acc power that is hot when the car is on. look at the wiring diagram and you can find the color of the wire. i think mine is 12v hot is yellow and the acc is blue

Thanks for reminding me about the hot wire. After reading your post I realized that I am an idiot because I already knew the answer to my own question. T.G.I.F.

12v is yellow
12v switched is red.
Blue is Power antenna feed...sends 12v signal when am/fm is on
