Im having a lot of trouble trying to install this new head unit I bought my dad for his 88 f150 for fathers day. The problem is, his truck is used and it had an aftermarket tape deck in it previously. The problem is the guy who previously had it DID NOT use a wiring harness, but spliced all the factory wires. So i dont know what to connect to my head unit's wires. I found the 2 speakers (4 wires) from using a 9volt to test them. But then there are five other wires. I tried the yellow with black stripe as being battery and the pink as being acc, but it didnt work. I tried switching those also but no luck. The cd player isnt getting power. I checked the fuse in cd player and the truck and they both are fine. Can someone please help? THanks!!!
