[Soon to be] System Install

Hey guys I just had a couple questions as far as my install goes. So I figured I'd list everything I was planning on installing and seeing what everyone thought, and to see if there would be any compatibility issues as far as all the components go. So if there's anything you see that's sort of out of place, don't be afraid to let me know... I'm new at this

anyways onto the rig;

Head-unit :: Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD
Subwoofer :: JL Audio 13TW5-3
Sub Amp :: JL 500/1v2
Front Components :: Pioneer TS-C720PRS
Component Amp :: JL 300/4v2
EQ :: Clarion EQS746

As far as rear coaxials go, I'm undecided right now. Will probably just leave the stock ones for the time being.

Probably the biggest issue I have is if the head unit will be able to run 2 amps. I was reading on one of the reviews that it said the unit had a "front input and a rear input OR sub input". If anyone has any input about that, it'd be huge.

But yeah I guess thats it, if anyone has any input or if anyone sees any issues with getting everything to run efficiently, please let me know.

Thanks guys,
- Joe

It has a 3 band eq I believe. But a buddy of mine has it in his car he just finished and he loves it. He said it really cleaned up the sound and the subs are a lot tighter. It also has a control for the sub volume, as well as amp volume and I believe its a 5 band eq.

Sounds like a good plan. The more EQ options, the better sound you can get from your system. My head unit has a 16 band EQ for both left and right side individually.

That's insane.

And thanks man. I don't know if I'm 100% sold on the head unit I've got listed. But it's priced pretty well and it looks nice when it's installed. I would prefer one with navigation as opposed to dvd, because I'd use the nav, I'll probably never use the dvd. But hey, whatever. It will serve it's purpose.

If anyone has any recommendations for a nice double-din HU that isn't off the wall pricey, I'm definitely interested.

Most double dins don't have great tuning options, I'd just go with one that looks good and has nav, and run an aftermarket EQ like your original plan.

Buy a peripheral ISVE 61 and then use the rear output on the Pioneer for sub. That way you dont lose any fader/balance etc. We use it all the time to give 2 preout headunits with the selectable rear/sub 3 preouts and have had great success with it.

So this separates the sub from interacting with the speakers as far as balancing/fading? Or am I confused... Because I feel confused, haha.

the ISVE 61 is 4 channel line out converter. You hook it up to the speaker leads off your deck, and it converts it to RCA's for you. You then select sub for the selectable preout on the deck and run those RCA's to your sub amp.

Alright I think I have an idea of what you're saying. Right on bro, thanks.
