i have a 2003 lightning and i will be purchasing a entirely new system for the truck and this will be my first car audio setup so i need some help.

first i need help with the sub enclosure, i was looking at these two

this is the mtx thunderform for the f150 reg cab

and this is another box that i found that seams to be cheaper, and also has more versatility when it comes to the subs that can fit

i need some advice as to which of those would be better, and also which subs and amps i need to work together but i will first start with this question because it changes some of the other options,

I personally hate MTX subs, but thats just me.

 

I was actually planning on getting the enclousure without the subs and putting these JL ones in that I heard fit nice.

 

What JL ones? the only ones I think would fit in that enclosure is the shallows

 

someone in another forum had used some JL ones but i have already decided against the mtx box and am going to get that other one.

 

Try subthump.com I am running JL 10w1v2. It hits the low end bass and the tight bass with this set up. Also running the kicker 5 Channel amp 700.5.
