Question CB & Antenna

I am buying a Cobra 75 WX ST CB and I need to pick up an antenna. Can anyone give me any recommendations on the specs I need to look for? What type of mounting system and antenna would be best for my F150? How many watts do I really need?

Thanks much for any replies!

Bill

I originally purchased one of the small through the glass antennas. It sucked. Too much static. Then I switched to a K-40. Sweet!

The best antenna for the job is a Wilson 1000. You should use a permanent mount but magnetic would be ok. Your wattage is dependant on your state who/where you want to talk to.

I have had good luck with my Firesticks. I am using them for both CB and scanner. Just mack sure that you get a good ground and spend the extra money to get your CB peaked and tuned.
