CB question

My CB radio works fine plugged into the 12 volt, but my fuse blows when I included my 100 watt PA speaker. Is it possible for the CB unit to be powered straight to the battery? Is there any other recommendations?

no can do, I exchanged the 50 watt, too quiet, 100 watt is just right. How do most people hook it up?

well, if you really are set on having one LOUD a$$ PA unit, you can pick up a crappy el-cheap-o car audio amp. you will just have to splice the PA speaker wire to one of those audio video wires and run power to the amp and a remote wire. Its not that difficult. If you go this route, you can get an even louder PA...up to whatever you can find a horn for and the quality of the amp doesn't really matter because your only going to be pushing no more than 200 watts max.
