Question scanner hookup

Does anyone have a hot setup for hooking up
a scanner? I'm interested in wiring,
antennae, and location. Can you hook into
the radio antennae?

Your best bet is to go to radio shack and talk to the guys there. I don't think it is a good idea to tap into the radio antenna. It is optimized (wrapped with a certain amount of wire) to pick up FM Frequency bands. You won't get as good as reception on your scanner.

I installed my scanner in the door map pocket. I attached the bracket so that the speaker is just above the pocket opening.
I ran the electrical/coax thru the door electrical feed.
This is a sweet setup! It's difficult to see the unit from outside the truck.

I had to compromise on the antenna though.
I wanted it to be descreet as possible so I settled for a thru the glass cellular look-a-like. Though the range is not as good as my old mag mount antenna, it is ok for my local area.
