Post Soundproofing the cab

I was woundering what brands of soundproofing materail worked the best and how much they cost. Also how hard is it to remove the seat and the flooring. How long should it take to do the whole job and do you have any tips or good tricks.

thanks
JDm

I just did mine last week in my L and it took me about 2 hours to gut the inside. Just make sure you geat a torx to fit the bolts for the seats. I used this 3m spray on stuff my buddy gets for car stereo's. It worked pretty good, cost me about 100 bucks but I think It cost more then that in the stores. Around 250 to do a cab.

www.b-quiet.com has execellent material for the price. I did my expy front half with dynamat but after finding out about b-quiet I did the rear and gate doors and the plastic panels with the stuff bec for the price you get plenty of material and it is so easy to install, I even used 2 layers on my gate bec I had 4 10's back there. They will even send you a sample.

One note of caution about B-Quiet...it melts off if it gets too hot. I know, it happened to me and it wasn't pretty. It regularly gets 100+ in Central Cal and B-Quiet just doesn't cut it here.

That's good to know bec I was going to do my roof but I kinda though that it gets really hot up there and I better use something that is meant to be there. I haven't had any problems here in NJ and it does get hot in the summer but it's not probably like Cali all year round.....but at least I know now that my thoughs of doing the roof were right.

Well so much for the b-quiet idea. My truck is black and i live in the hottest freakin part of this Country TEXAS. If it comes off your white truck at 100 deg. whats it going to do in my black truck at 115 deg.
that SUCKS!!!!

Hey man what you need is the new stuff dynamat has it has aluminum on one side of it for the exterior layer of the doors and I suggest using "Premium" for the moistier barrier (just under the door panels). You wont believe the difference it will make in your speakers and in cutting out road noise. My cousin is a manager at Dynamat and I may be able to hook you or anyone else up a little. They also have a product for under the carpet called "dynalyner" that works very well, also a hood liner, and undercoating just let me know what it is you need and want exactly.
