Problem installing backup camera

I was trying to install by backup camera but finally gave up because I coudd'nt find the black/pink wire to connect with the purple/white wire from the HU that FX4life used when he put his in. Did these wires change on the 06 models compaire to his 04(?). This is really bothering me that I couldn't find that one damn wire in the kick panel so the HU would know when to switch on and off.

What deck do you have, and what camera are you attaching?

Yep, got the the email and got it mostly worked out. The only problem I'm having is that when I go into reverxe the camera won't pop up on the screen by itself. I have to go to the main menu and click on the review camera icon every time for it to work. What's causing this? I tapped the black pink from the kick panel into the purple white from the HU and I thought that would fix this.

Pioneer AVH4000 and this camera.

there is a setting in the screens menu that can turn the camera function from manual turn on to automatic when the screen sees signal from the reverse wire.
