I am looking at a SuperCrew Lariat and the Antenna hits my garage when I pull in. The dealer does not seem to keen on helping me swap it out (These trucks sell themselves).

My questions is, How do I swap it out with a shorter one? Can I just screw it on and keep the same reception?

I just changed ours with a 17" version from Wal-Mart for 5 bucks. Seems to work fine. When I get into the boonies this summer, I may switch it back if the reception is bad.

Get a billet antenna they are shorter than the stock one and they look cool.Yes they just screw in. I did not notice any change in the reception.
