The plexi is 1/4 inch and yes I guess the sound stage is coming from the back. Bad idea?

When you are at a concert, is the music coming from behind you? Most of the time, the idea is for your sound stage to be coming from the front. Most guys will tell you that you dont even want rear speakers (besides the substage).

agreed. 1/4 too thin. and pylda is right. Most people put the sound in the front. and the back is just rearfill (if you must have somethin) and then substage.. Nice box none the less just different design. You could always leave extra long wires to it and put it in the bed for tailgate parties? IDK

ya well tonight i got down to it and decided to screw putting the speakers and tweeters on the box it would be too hard. so im going to get best buy to put the tweeters up front and just get rid of the speakers. and i would put the box in the bed but i made like a cargo area in it too so i need it in the back of my truck but yes i did think about that but i dont do much tailgating
