Question Double DIN

I'm considering getting a JVC KW-XC770 Double DIN CD/Cassete unit for my '97 Regular cab. Does anyone have experience w/ JVCs? One of the local stereo shops said they can install a double DIN unit in my truck w/ some mods. Any suggestions for a good pair of 10in subs behind the seats? Would a component speaker system be best for the front? If so, what brand? What would be a good amp for this setup? I'm not looking for sheetmetal-melting bass, I'm looking more for clarity and clear punch w/ absolute bass secondary.hanks for any help or ideas.

Cool

Haven't had any experience with them, but MTX makes a custom box with two 10" subs that fits behind the seats in the reg. cab, or under the seats in the SC. Here's their site for more info www.mtxaudio.com.

I did go with components up front. Like a few others have, I took the plunge and cut openings in my door panels for the tweeters. The components definitely give you better sound with the tweets mounted high.
