Thumbs down Installing a head unit with Metra

Hi,

Gee, first time I posted in this area. Wondering if anyone can help me. I just purchased a Kenwood CD head unit from Crutchfield and they also sent me one of those Metra installation kits. I can't get my new head unit to mount securely in the dash with the Metra. Apparently, the Metra is designed poorly, there's really no way to keep the new head unit from moving around inside of the dash. Especially back and forth.

What has anybody else done that I could possibly try, even if you didn't utilize a Metra install kit, what else did you do if your replacement head unit didn't mount properly?

Kindest regards

try taking the rubber stop off of the back of the OEM unit, and putting it on your new unit.
