To those of you who are installing aftermarket headunits...how are you securing the back of the new radio in the dash to keep the unit from skipping?
I took off the rubber deal from the back of the stock radio and mounted it on my headunit. Also using a dash kit from Best Buy. Haven't had a chance to see if it skips yet because my amp isn't in yet. Was wondering if you used a backstrap or what you did to prevent skipping? I didn't use anything on my 97, not even the rubber plug, and it skipped sometimes. Ideas?
