Finally got pics of my stereo, only 3 though.
Now if I can just get pictures of my truck, but I got 3 pictures of the inside. The headunit, speakers in the door, tweeter location.

Captain-
Could you tell us about your CD player install? I used a dash kit supplied by my local stereo shop and i just dont like the way it looks and also the trim piece has never fit back on right with this setup. The dash kit i used has a little pocket incorprated above the CD palyer. The trim piece (the one with the vents and air bag cut-off) just wont go back on right on the top left corner and i think youre method will fix this problem. Thanks

First the speakers. I made a mounting plate out of plexiglass to hold the 5.25 woofer. I placed the crossover unit near the woofer and sent the wire up to the tweeter which got mounted on that little piece on the door. The Premier components came with angled mount to place the tweeters in so they face right at the seat.
As for the HU, it's mounted on a black metal plate that used to mount my old stereo in a ranger (the truck before the f150). The fit is a real makeshift job on the inside, but I'm planning on making a new HU mounting kit out of that metal plate and plexiglass. I want to put a design on the plexiglass and have a small light behind it for apearance, and I'm also trying to fit a small fan back there to help cool of the HU, b/c I hate when they all run so hot.

Captain,
Nice job, really clean. Don't downplay your components or feel you have to explain, Pioneer IS good stuff. And if it makes you happy, that's all that matters!!!
I plan on making my own dash kit also, out of smoked plexi. I have a K40 fully remote radar/laser detector/diffuser that has little lights as the only thing to get mounted inside the cab and I plan on putting them above or below the radio on the plexi, as well as aux lighting switches and alarm LED/valet button combo. That is the perfect place for all that extra stuff without having to drill holes into the factory dash.
With reguards to you crossover in the door, did you mount it between the plastic door panel and door or inside the door itself? My concern is if you put it inside the door, it is exposed to alot of water and moisture. I usually mount them inside the cab and just run the wires into the door.

boss - Thanks. I wanted to make the whole mounting plate out of plexiglass, I'm just not sure yet if the HU gets to hot to melt the plexiglass a little. But thats what I wanted to do, and have designs on the plexiglass with the a light shining behind it.
The crossover I mounted between the door and door panel. But I plan on intergrating the crossover with the door panel. B/c the crossover that comes with Premiers lets you move different wires to different terminals and give variable decible boost, I thinks a -3db and 0db on the highs, but it could still just look nice. And I will be putting speaker baffles behind the the woofers.

Looks good. I was not into Pioneer unitl I put in the 7000CD and 9000R Master unit, I also put the tweeters in the same spot but flush mounted them and then swiveled them. I used Audiobahn 6.5's front and rear. Most of my Stereo changes evey couple of months or less. Pioneer is starting to grow on me but I haven't tried the speakers.

dragon - I love the HU, I was gonna get the 920, but it was a little to much money, and the girls (especially my girlfriend) like the dolphin screen saver the most. Your truck sounds like it's a real sight. How do you like you borla? I got the regular with rear intercooled tips and love it, but wanted the anniversary with the carbon fiber tips.

Right now the system is great (for the moment) but I will be putting in the New Pioneer 8in monitors in the headrest soon or possibly a 15in just in the middle flip down. The 7000CD has always been the same but it only had the 7000 master unit which was....but the screen was very nice with the anit glare coating. So the best one I liked was the Alpine 1005. Since the 9000R unit came out Pioneer just blew up with it. The features are just awesome, it actually ridiculas. You can have a whole Dolby Digital system off the master unit with 6ch built in. 4 regular, a center channel, and a sub, all built in. I was just into the SPL thing (just to see what I can do) so I had 4 10's behind the 3rd row seat and tried the Earthquake PH-D2 which is 2000X1 @ 2ohm. With the one amp it would hit 150db easly with no strain on the electrics. My head started to hurt when I'd drive around by myself and someone wanted to buy the subs etc so they were sold. I get to demo and try out alot of Mobile Electronics equipment and usually just sell my stuff at truck shows etc..in with the New out with the New for something Newer, ya know how the Mobile Electronic Ind. is. OH, let's not forget the 6disc DVD changer and the 6 disc CD in dash DIN size changer.
Capitan,
This is the third set of Borla I have had, I have had with intercooler tip's but decided for the aniversary editon split rear which comes with carbon fiber tip's because of the sound, it's very mellow while cruising but when you press on the gas to pass it is then when you hear it and not too loud either, just the rite tone I like, I couldnt mix loud exhaust with loud music, not a good combination trying to talk to someone in the cabin.
