Post removing the seats. How hard?

I am about to install be quite in my 2000 ford f150xlt supercab. In front it is 40/60 and in back it is regular supercab seats. How many bolts/screws I have to remove to get the seats out(front and back). After removing the seats do I just pull the carpet up or I have to remove some more bolts. If I have the right tools how hard is to remove the seats?
thanks.

Its really not that hard to remove the front or back seats, On my 97 F150 SC i removed the front and back seats when i installed my sound system. Basically for the front you should have four bolts you need to remove and i believe it takes 55 MM size socket, same goes for the drivers seat. About the only thing you need is another person to help you carry the seat out of the truck because its pretty heavy!! As far as the back seat, you need to flip down the bench seat to access the mounting bolts that holds the seat down and also the seat belt, then there are allen head screws (Forgot what size) on both sides of the seat that holds the seat into the seat frame, once you remove those allen head screws then you should be ready to pull the rear bench seat out. You don't have to remove the carpet at all unless you plan on running some wires or interconnect cables for your stereo, otherwise thats all there is to it. The 2000 may have a few more bolts than the 97 but if you look at it closely, its fairly easy. Good luck and have fun!!!

Looked at my buddy's 2000 SC truck today and i was mistaken about the back seat!! It's actually easier to remove the backseat on a 2000, all you do is remove three mounting bolts (Looks like a 13 MM) underneath the seat that mounts the seat to the floorboard and you're set!! pretty easy!! Good luck!!

In the '99 SC, the lower rear seat is kind of a pain to take out only because of the position of the bolts on the floor underneath the split; I guess if you are left handed it wouldn't be sod bad though. I believe the 2K SC rear seat copies the Tundra seat because it folds up rather than down (probably easier to remove).
I just Be-Quieted the rear of my '99 SC and it really worked). Have a look at my MSN community page for pix.

One piece of advice on Be-Quiet...cut it in small pieces (about 12" x 12") because it will conform better. Some pieces can be longer where you have a long flat spot but use smaller pieces over the bumpy spots. Its a great product

Duraliner drop-in (gave up on the Penda Nascar). Gibson Supertruck. Ford 2-piece bra. Catch-All floor mats. Image tail light covers. B-Quiet sound dampener in rear of cab.
No door cracks yet at 10K!!!
