Hi folks,

I've read that that a couple F150 owners have the Thunderforms in their truck. I also read it's a pain to install them, but are they still secured and bolted in place? Or can a thief pull a "****** and run?" Crutchfield has the MTX amplified ones that hold two 8" subs for $550.00. Anyone with personal experience with these? I'm trying to eliminate buying a seperate amp and going with a combo unit.

Don't know about the amplified versions of the Thunderform. I personally would like to option to choose the amp..

As far as installation and removal. A thief would play he** getting mine out. You should bolt it down securely with stainless bolts.

Thanks for the info. I just got a Hifonics 5 channel amp and plan to intall it this weekend. As for the subs and a box? I'm still undecided. I've been thinking about buying one the seat riser kits (JCWhitney) and installing a box under the seat.
