Post Factory Premium CD Player

Does the factory premium cd player require a separate amplifier or is it built in? I just purchase one on line to replace the factory am/fm cassette and do not want to have to purchase anything else with it.

Cool

I believe 99 and newer have the preamp built in.

Ford discontinued the external premium sound amp systems after 1997.
