Question Another question for Tim A.

I just finished installing a dual media head unit in my '98 F150. Other than removing "that sloped piece of plastic" inside the dash and modifing the sliding mounting bracket, the installation went extrememly well.

The new head unit has a green display, instead of the blue/green display of the rest of the dashboard.

My question is, and it's just a matter of visual esthetics, can these units be modified to change the color of their display.

Thanks.

Lightbulb

You wont be able to change the lighting in the radio. The color of the lighting is due t the hardware inside the radio and not from a film that can be replaced.

By the way, do you have the part number of the dual media radio you installed? I just want to check something.

Great! That is fine. I jsut wanted to make sure you didn't get an audiophile radio, which requires a subwoofer. Since your truck doesn't have a sub, the bass would be terrible if you had a subwoofer radio.

Thumbs up

Thanks for checking.

The new radio sounds 100 times better than the stock AM/FM/Cassette.
