Question CD changer cartridge

I have a 2001 SuperCrew with the factory CD changer. Does anyone know where I can get an extra cartridge outside of the F$rd dealer. I heard it was made by Clarion. Can anyone positively identify this cartridge?

Clarion CAA-355

This cartridge works in my dad's '99 Expy, 2000 Jag S-type, and in the 6-disc Clarion aftermarket unit in my friend's car. Cost ranges from $29-$39 (Ford wants like $80).

Question

RPFB,

I was also given another part number for this cartridge. I hope they have not changed it for 2001. Does your Dad's look like this one ? I may have to mail order one, because I can't find one locally. I don't want to order the wrong one. Thanks again.

That looks like the one that came with the Jag. The one that came with the Expy has different labeling for "disc side up", but then again, the Clarion cartridge is labelled differently as well. They are all functionally interchangable. I can barely read the Ford part number on the side of the cartridge, but it looks familiar.

What was the part number that you were given?

PS-I believe that the full part number is CAA-355-600, but normally just the first set of numbers is enough to get the right part.

I appreciate you checking that for me. I have misplaced that other part number, but I'm sure you have the right one. Thanks again.
