Talking moving map

Has anyone installed a moving map with DVD screen. I have seen a screen that flips out and tucks away. Also does the moving map also double as a video screen or are they seperate units. HELP!

Cool

I've been pricing the DVD screens for over a year now, they still haven't come down but there are a couple more brands to choose from. From what I understand, the moving map screen and a DVD screen for movies are the same thing. But the head unit to play them are different. I've seen units that have the screen & head unit all together BUT if you install this in the space for your radio you are "supposed" to hook it up so you can't play movies while driving. Distraction from driving. Or at least that's the rules where I live. I've also seen screens that install over head. These looked very nice, along with a nice price tag!! I've seen some of the Clarion units, nice!!

If you know of a DVD unit & DVD Nav system that are all in one unit, I'd love to hear about it. I just had a Video LCD installed in my dash, and a DVD (Movie) player in the dash also, but I did still have to shell out again for the DVD Mapping system. All of the research I've done has come up with the only way to do this is with 2 seperate systems, one for movies & one for Mapping (Navigation).

So a quick answer is, it's 3 pieces:
The LCD Display of some sort
DVD Player for Video
DVD Navigation system for Mapping

See my other post under the "Double Din" topic for a detail of what I just installed in my Expy.
