Go to www.alienmind.com\speaker inst\ for excellent speaker installation instructions. As for the stereo removal, grab hold of the trim panel surrounding the stereo/ac/heat controls and pull. Insert DIN removal tools (basically U shaped wire) into the holes on either side of the face of the stereo. Push in about an inch until you hear or feel a click, then slide the unit out. Crutchfield has the DIN tools for $3.00, visit their site if you want to see what I'm talking about.

You can just use a coat hanger to remove the stereo. Just take a chunk and bend it into a U shape and shove it in the holes. Put your fingers in the cassette hole or pull on the ****. Done!!!!!

To remove the rear speakers you will have to remove the inside panels. Remove the screws and then pull out and up to remove the panel. Dont force it be gentle...

Hello fellow f150 owners, I have been trying to get the radio out with the aforementioned advice, yet with all my might, I cannot seem to get the radio out. This can be very frustrating, and I would really appreciate any more advice. I have shoved the wire hangers as far back as they go, and on the driver's side I see the ends of the hanger, I push as hard as I can on the passenger side to be sure it is in all the way and I pull as hard as I can. I have even resorted to sticking a pair of pliers in the cassett deck and clamping down on a peice of metal and still pull pretty hard. It still won't come out. Playing tug of war with the radio has lost its excitement and I would dearly like to win. Thanks in advance,

Frustrated in Vegas.

When you shove the wires in be sure to push in on the deck first or the tabs will be wedged in too tight and the wires will just bend around them. If this dont work getahold of some stronger wire or even a few picks.

Good Luck

I also experienced the same thing. Here's what I found out is you are using a coathanger. First, Don't shove them all the way in, only about an inch or so will do it. Next push outward on the wire (towards the doors) this will depress the clips inside the dash. As you are pushing outward, the radio should just slip out neat as you please.

Good Luck
