Post relocating factory changer

has anyone relocated the factory changer (mine is a single cab, behind passenger seat)? i would like to do so, to make room for 10s and have use of the center console. just wondering if this were a hard task, or could be done by an amateur. thanks for any info

I don't know how hard it would be to move all of the wiring. However I talked to a friend of mine that is a ford dealer and he said that they put a lot of changers in that useless pocket just to the drivers side of the back seat.
Hope this helps...

JGG, don't think he has a back seat. As far as wires, should be just a ?6? pin cable. If you need to extend, just cut and solder extenstion cable in then heat shrink it. Or if you are a major amateur, you can butt splice, but make sure the crimps are tight and you tape them up. Hope this helps..

Mongoose

I moved my changer from behind the seat to under the middle seat but i have the 60/40 seats I then had room for 2-10" subs behind seats. No big problem with the wiring factory wiring will reach under seat. Hope this helps
