I kept my ipod in my truck the whole winter. And its been a cold one. Had a few weeks of -30C to -37C. Ipod worked fine then and still works fine now. IMO all the warnings for products that say do not operate electrical devices under 0^C are total bull. Worst case scenario is that the battery might drain, but then again its constantly charging in my truck.

The newer Nano's are much better for withstanding cold temps than the older ones. Mine has been in the glove box since this past x-mas with no problems. The only time I take it out is to add music to it or if I'm working out.

same with my ipod..it resides in my truck almost year round in the extreme heat we have down here in south mississippi...im on my second ipod and they have both lived almost exclusively in my trucks..the first one lasted in my truck for over three years, the only reason it got replaced was because when my truck caught fire and burnt up completely the ipod was still inside so i was forced to buy a new one. ive never noticed any problems with leaving them in th vehicle whatsoever

Hide it somewhere it cant be found if you leave it in the truck. Mine just got taken from inside my glove box. Nothing visible from outside the truck and it was parked infront of a sheriffs office building.
