HD Radio, add on to stock sterio?

I did do several searches on here and on the interwebz.

I have an 06 FX4 with the Audiophile system. Is there a HD Radio unit that can be easly installed. I don't want a new head unit, just add it on.

TIA

Ok, found this http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1117
It's $89.89 You also need the PMXA $159 and the PGHFD $19.98, almost better off buying a new head unit.

Anyone installed this model or any other?

Yes, the HDRT unit needs the PXAMG gateway unit to function.

Basicly, the PXAMG plugs into the back of your stock radio and the HDRT unit plugs into the PXAMG and your antenna plugs into he HDRT unit.

The link to the Ford announcement about HD radio talks about what the dealers will offer. At the dealer, you can add the HD radio to your stock radio for lik $300. The kicker? The part the dealer orders is the same part as what you linked to from discountstereo.

There was a long discussion about it at https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=313942

Well I went ahead and ordered this HD setup with the iPod connector. Not exactly cheap, I could have bought a whole new head unit but to keep the stock look it seemed worth it.
Going to have it installed Friday so I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks for that link rangerdogy! Helped understand how to work it.
