system for 02screw
system for 02screw
i have been longing for a good stereo in my 02 screw lariat-but i duuno how or where to begin. i already have an aftermarket h.u and speakers and the speakers are fairly new {less than 3 y/o} and they are correctly wired. my problem is that every now and then they make this "static " noise but none of the drivers are blown i have pioneer 4-ways in the front and premier 3-ways in the rear doors. it does this on cd/radio. also some of the lower f.m frequnceys are quite loaded w/ static the higher f.m bands are ok. I have an alpine 9856 h.u. and im also confused on speaker box and sub{s}. i have heard many opinions such as a single 10" or 2 -8" subs
i listen to rock and country the most.sorry for the long post. Please help!!

im running dual 10 inch subs in a supercrewsound.com box and im very pleased with how it sounds. my sig has most of the details of the system and i will try and get some pics uploaded of the finished install. as far as the static goes you could be grounding out on something along the line somewhere. or those pioneer drivers may have blown one of the the supertweeters which is pretty common, they will still sound 100 percent normal most of the time until that certain note hits those supertweeters then the static would kick in

if you arent looking for high spl, then you have plenty of options. You could do one ten in a sealed box behind or under the seat. if you go with 8" subs, you have loads of options, even including 4 8"s. If you look at my gallery, I have 3 10's behind the seat. JL stealth boxes are also a very high quality product and have applications for almost every vehicle. Supercrew sound also has similar products, but I myself, am a JL fan.
