i just put that alarm in my truck a few days ago. Im an installer at bb so i got it dirt cheap and installed it myself. I really like it except the shock sensor is only set by the remote and its a pain in the a$$, but ive heard that most shock sensors are tricky. I ended up turning it off after i ran out a my apt, ball bat in hand, twice in about a half hour. The semi trucks going by were setting it off as i park on the street even at the lowest setting. The two way works great even through a brick wall and two apts. i would have the shock sensor on if i didnt park on the street. i have also heard good things about clifford alarms, although they are owned by directed who also makes viper.

i installed a code ca 671 from kcautosound today and it was my first alarm install and did it in 3 hours, very simple and if you do exactly what his instructions say you wont have a problem and even if you have very little experience with electrical you could do it easily

What do you mean by that? I was planning on purchasing the 6700. Have you had specific issues? Please elaborate.

Yea I've had sum issues I'll start a list for you
1 mile range ahhhhhhhhhh no! sometimes the twoway and the "alarm" don't communicate. With me sittin in the drivers seat with the twoway in hand that would be less than 28inches.

examples....... when you remote start the vehicle a little timer and hour glass symbol appear on the twoway. Now the way things should happen is I hop in jam the key in the ignition and drive away then the the alarm should tell the twoway that the truck is no longer runnin remotely and shut the timer and hour glass symbol off........... Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't

Time the twoway has a nice the clock for you to look at. Just look at it tho don't rely on it for nuttin.........I have a watch from a happy meal 17 years ago that keeps time better than the twoway..........And I did change the batteries still loses time.

The neat little options that don't work
page from vehicle (push a button in truck.... and alarm should send signal to twoway)

push two buttons on twoway and temperature of truck interior should be displayed seems two work till it gets to be 32 degrees F then anything colder than that and you get sum funky numbers................

regularly I can push any function button on the twoway (lock, unlock, start......) and I will get no response from vehicle (lock, unlock you get the idea) as soon as I double tap any of those buttons the alarm functions again and goes back to being a one push of the button type deal......

Just sayin.......... this IS what has happened to me. c'mon it's made by audiovox.....Right? When is the last time you or any one you know has eyed up a sweet new headunit from them...........
