Finally, An Ipod Interface That Works!

If anyone is interested, I found an ipod interface that works perfect. I bought it from here:

Ipod Interface

Does this allow you to use factory installed Sirius and the Ipod? I guess you would have (2) preset Aux functions for Sirius and (1) for the Ipod? If that is the case, I'm definately going to buy one.

Thanks for the information!

I know that it has 3 inputs. RCA, Ipod, Xm Satalite Radio. You can have any 2 inputs. I don't think Sirius will work. You may want to call replacementradios and ask. I was going to get Xm because you can get it from Circuit city for $39.99 w/ $30 rebate and the cable(XIAH-XMC)for the interface is $17.99. I signed up for the xm online trial. After listening for a few days on my computer, xm pretty much played the same music I already had on my ipod. So I decided it's not worth it for me to get the xm tuner. As for the install, it took about 10 min. Just plug and play. Also, the ipod cable(XIAH-IPC)is identical to the plug that came with your ipod. The photo on the website is not the actual cable. I have full access to the ipod through my factory head unit, steering wheel and it also charges the ipod. Using the different EQ settings in the ipod make a big difference in sound quality. Much better than just using the bass and treble levels on the head unit. It was definately worth it for me. Now I look forward to driving my truck even more.

According to this seller on ebay, it is not compatible with the overhead dvd.
You can read the compatibility at the following link.

I read all these posts with interest as I can't get an IPOD to work through my factory radio. I have an '07 with Sirius and it's got an input jack. I plug in the IPOD and follow the instructions (tap the AUX button), but the radio doesn't recognize it.

Does the IPOD not work with a Sirius-equipped radio?
