I noticed two weeks ago that when I was ignition was turned to "ACCESSORY" the radio turn off completely. Several seconds later the radio came back on. Several minutes later it did it again. So it really did think nothing was wrong however I was driving yesterday and the radio started cutting off and on. I did notice that all of the instrument lights were on, but the lights on the radio started dimming, and then the radio turn off and on. I disconnected the battery and waited a couple of minutes, and reconnected the battery cable, the radio stayed on for thirty minutes and then started cutting off and on. Can anybody please give me an idea where to start looking to fixed this problem. Thank you in advance.

Probably a loose connection or a short. I would check behind the radio and see if the harnesses were snug and if an wires were bare.
