Remedy for Battery Cables being loose

I have the nut tightened all the way on the cable going to the negative post on my wife's nissan altima, but it is still lose and corroded. Are there any products out there that I can buy to fix this or do I need to buy a new clamp and nut thingie to go over the post?

In the past, I have cut a strip (about 5/8" wide by 1-1/4" long) from a soup can and sanded both sides to bare metal, then put it between the post and the clamp. If you have brass or copper sheet, all the better. You should be able to get it tight then. Coat the whole thing with vaseline to keep it from corroding due to the dissimilar metals.
