Cb Signal Booster
Cb Signal Booster
Iv looked everywhere for a Booster for my CB and i can't find one.. I know there illegal but i want one....... where can i find it and about how much would one be ....................
Because CB part of the radio spectrum that is "regulated" by the FCC, and limited to 4 watts output. CB is 11 meters, and most linears tend to splatter and interfer with other frequencies. That's why FRS radios do not have removable antennas as well. They just gave a guy here in Cali a 5 year jail sentence, $10k fine and took his radio equipment for operating outside the legal regulated requirements.
Google "CB amplifiers" You will have a ton to choose from. I would suggest the Texas Star amps for a beginner. They are easy to set up and cheap. Just make sure you turn your radio down to about a 2 watt dead key when using it or you will let the smoke out of it

I'm in South Jersey and local CB shop has tons of them on display and for sale. You can pick them up at ANY and I mean ANY truck stop....
Roll in with your cb (IF YOUR DRIVING A CAR STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE PRO DRIVERS PARKING LOT) and say you are a 4 wheeler looking for a small cb amp. Just try that a few times or google like others have suggested. Everyone runs them, easy to install and if you grab a small one you will be good to go. Now if you run with a 2000+ amp you might run into some legal issues.

Your town or my town has nothing to do with what you can and can't run. FCC is federal and it caps all towns or states.
How about some factual base information, documentation, links to new articles?
