Im going to install my Eclipse AVN5500 this week...My King Ranch F-150 already has the flip down dvd player oem and the guys at my local stereo shop said they could hook it up to my eclipse so that I can navigate on the eclipse while watching a movie on the flip down...my questions are: a) Does anyone know if the XBOX360 will fit in my center console? b) Is there a kit you can buy to hardwire the xbox360 so that I can just unplug it and take it into my house and vice versa? c) Does anyone have pics of a PS2 or other gaming system already installed in their truck? d)how much is too much to pay for getting my system all wired up the way i want (meaning so that i can control both monitors through the eclipse etc.)?

Your xbox wont fit in the console. I mean fabrication allows us to make things fit but for a simple application. . . under your seat or something like that would be best. And yes they have game kits you can wire in. So basically you would just plug into the RCA's. You will also need a small inverter to power it. I have both and its a cool thing to have especially if you transport people alot. But beware with these game kits. . . The RCA's are not grounded well enough and when you plug into them your screens will get static. You might need a special Ground Loop Iscolater(spelling sorry lol) which lets you ground out the game kit to the vehicle. Any other questions let me know :P

 

How do you like your 360? I am thinking of getting a ps3 or 360 and don't know which one to get.

 

the 360 is amazing beyong beleif........everyone gets there own website for the Live! account....you can go on the computer and send messages to other epoples 360's......um you can link your xbox to your limewire on your computer and play ALL your music on your xbox while playing ANY game....you can download videos/music/and game demos just straight from the 360. trhere are some FULL GAMES you can download....like old games from the old systems (pacman and weird stuff like that)......the wireless controllers KICK ***. and the HD setup is amazing. i could go on and on

 

So which one would you say is better ps3 or 360. Can you do all that stuff on the ps3?

 

i say the 360 for sure

this is how they explained the difference between 360 and PS3:
the graphics on the 360 are superior to the PS3.....but the graphics are superior to the 360 when say your playing a game like Lord Of The Rings and theres a battle scene with hundreds of "people" running around. So when theres ALOT of moving stuff going on in the game the PS3 is better (very few games....just lke lord of the rings and games like that). Then they said if you were to play halo 2 on 360.....and play it on the PS3 it would be better ont he 360. so about 70-80% of the time the 360 is going to look better.

 

go out and get an xbox 360 right now...it is amazing...i have a 46" Mitsubishi HDTV with a Bose surround sound system...damn its ****ing sweet...you get so lost in the games....and yes it does have so many cool features as far as wireless networking and playing music off of your computer...i just installed my eclipse avn5500 today and DAMN...its the most pimp thing I have ever had (tech wise)....it has CD/MP3/DVD/Navigation that is unreal....The only problem im having is running the factory OEM ford dvd entertainment system from my eclipse...the reason there is a problem is because the factory OEM Ford 6 disc changer has a plug (wire harness) that plugs into the back of the stock radio that gives the dvd entertainment system power....the thing is the eclipse doesnt have a plug for the power...i went to my local stereo shop today and they said they are going to hook that and the 360 up for me next week...im also adding two JL 10w3v2's and im taking the factory ford subwoofer (supercrew) out and selling it...if anyone is interested contact me at vickracing187@yahoo.com but I will definately let you guys know how everything turns out....and I will get all the pics of my truck and mods up first thing next week for sure...i have never been happier with a vehicle and I have gotten some awesome deals....2005 King Ranch Supercrew with 25k miles ($24,500) from www.texasdirectauto.com ....I also got my eclipse avn 5500 for $1100 on ebay brand new when it retails for $1699 from crutchfield...I bought a custom sub box that holds two tens and fits flush underneath the backseat from topedgeonline.com for $89 bucks (its on sale)...and I bought the two JL 10w3v2's on ebay for $200 bucks for the pair...check my profile sometime next week for all my pics and new posts....hope you guys are loving being a part of the ford family as much as I am...take care

 

I plan on going and getting an x-box in a few days. I want to get another job first (16 years old). I think I'm going to call one of my buddies and see if his aunt needs any more help at her restruant where I use to work. I hated it when I worked there but now I get bored noing nothing when I could be earning money.
