Rail system-DVD player

I am considering installing a dvd player in my 05 SC. I have the overhead rail system. The factory unit is a bit to pricey to add, but I saw that Moss Motors offers a unit that is much cheaper.

Does anyone have this unit??? What's the quality like and is it easy to install.

Thanks for any help

I had the dealer put a similar unit (Myron and Davis) on when I purchased my truck. I didn't care for it. It gets sound to the speakers via a RF modulator. ( You have to tune to a radio station to hear the sound). It mounts easy but, it screws directly the rails (leaving holes if you ever remove it). The color did not match the rest of the interior. Overall I was unhappy with the appearance and lack of integration with the factory overhead rail system. It looked like an afterthought. I ended up having the dealer removing it and installing a Factory DVD player/screen. I love the factory one. It came with two headsets, a case for the headsets, a case for DVD's, and an extra strorage bin. You can control the DVD functions using the factory head unit, audio is not via rf modulator, and most of all it looks completely integrated to the interior. You can't tell there is a dvd/screen unless the screen is down. Of course it did cost me $1200.00 (installed)

Yep I have the factory unit as well. Sorry I can't help with the aftermarket feedback but the factory unit is great. dlongoria about covered everything.

The one feature I really like is the kids listen to the DVD and Daddy keeps his radio/CD player running up front simultaneously.
