My question is how?
How did you connect the HU to the mobo? Is there a Hard drive in there you can put MP3s on or do you have to put them on a CD?

I am in the process of doing this. I'll be getting StreetDeck in the next couple of months.

Question: where did you move the climate controls to? Pics?

The veiwing angle actually isnt bad at all,I can't really put a price on it since I fabricated most of it.I connected the audio from the computer to the Alpine HU using the aux input function, and I inputed the video card to the screen. The computer has a 120gig hard drive that has all of my mp3's on it wich are catigorized by music type, artist, and album.I'm going to be adding a slimline(laptop)DvD player under the radio that will connect to the computer wich will make software upgrades and so on easier as well as the ability to view dvds.Ive heard alot about streetdeck and I think its an awesome setup but way to pricey for me.This project didn't cost much at all considering.I moved the controls under the dash for the time being(as this is a work in progress)and I will be installing an overhead console from a 98 Expedition that has the rear ac controls on it.I'll be moving removing the rear ac control module from it and puting the controls from mine there and extending and the wires and vacuum lines up there to it from under the dash and along the inside of the door trim and under the liner.(I recommend heatshrinking and soldering the wires at both ends of the extension and using the same guage wires for each if your going to attempt something like this.)Welp I hope you'll drop back by later to see this projects progress!

Have you considered using one of the TFT VGA LCD computer screens? No need for a mouse, the screen connects to your motherboard via USB. They are all over ebay, here is one for Less than $150:

Keep us posted, looks great!

Yea I considered a touchscreen but for me a fingermouse or a mousepad(like on a laptop)was more practical for me.(I went with fingermouse) I didnt want to have to move up and readjust everytime to change a song or the volume or take some bass away or up the bass some more so on and so forth.

Update:
Ive aquired an overhead console from a 99 expedition and will be installing it and relocating the heating and air controls to it.(it has controls for the rear but my dash controls will replace them)I will be documenting and taking pictures for anyone interested.Im starting to work on the audio as well(2 alpine 10''s and a 500w jl amp)soon to get a 4 channel amp and run the mids and tweeters off of it.
