Need Wiring Help!
Hey Guys. Im new here and I got a question. Im trying to wire a Rockford Fosgate amp with a factory radio. I cant seem to figure out where to "hook up" the remote wire for the amp. Can anyone help? Thanks!
just hook your amp turn on signal wire to the wire that goes hot when you turn your key to acc or run /start you do realize your amp will be switched on whenever your truck is running an alternative solution is to add a switch in that same line so you can then power the amp down when you dont need it and if you have it tied in to a keyed hot you will never have to worry about forgetting to turn your amp off

oh yea and a little 1/2 amp inline fuse in that line might not be such a bad idea

I wouldn't worry about the switch - I am running two competition amps in mine and have let them run for over an hour without much drain on the battery. I wasn't cranking them, but they were loud enough to here outside the truck.
